NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- Police have made another arrest in the mistaken identity killing of a 15-year-old boy in the Bronx.

The NYPD has cast a wide net in their search for suspects in the brutal murder of Lesandro "Junior" Guzman-Feliz and on Monday, Connecticut State Troopers picked up 25-year-old Luis Cabrarasantos on Interstate 84 in Southbury.

A license plate reader alerted them that the vehicle he was driving was wanted in connection with the June 20 murder.

Guzman-Feliz dreamed of becoming a police officer and his death shocked the community.

NYPD Chief of Detectives Dermot Shea said they are still being aided by tips from the community.

"The investigation goes forward in terms of collecting other evidence, working on motive, what exactly happened -- the why if you will," Shea said.

Cabrerasantos is being held on $1 million bond. He will be brought back to New York City to face charges.

All of those arrested are believed to be members of the Trinitarios, a gang the NYPD has been trying to bring down for years.

Eleven others, including an alleged leader of the Trinitarios gang, have been been charged in his death and police said more arrests are likely.

Anyone with further information is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).  The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
