Police: 2 Men Stole Car, Struck Pedestrian And 3 Vehicles

JERSEY CITY, N.J. (WCBS 880) — Two men were arrested Monday morning after they allegedly stole a car to take it for a joyride and struck a pedestrian and several vehicles.

The incident happened around 11 a.m. near Fairmont and West Side avenues in Jersey City, New Jersey.

Police say a 30-year-old woman was struck by the allegedly stolen vehicle. She was transported to a nearby hospital but her condition was not immediately known.

According to ABC7, the suspects hit a Citi Bike van while a driver was inside the vehicle. He was not injured.

About a block later, the speeding driver struck a van carrying two women and six children. It remains unclear if any were injured.

A parked vehicle was also struck before the two men were arrested following a police chase.
