7 Train Service Interrupted While FDNY Investigates Smoke In Tunnels

NEW YORK (WCBS 880) — There was no subway service on the 7 train between 34th Street - Hudson Yards and Queensboro Plaza for a half hour Friday morning while the FDNY investigated the source of smoke in the tubes, the subway's twitter account announced.

Express service was suspended on the 7 and 34th Street-Hudson Yards-bound trains ended at either 60th Street, 74th Street, or Queensboro Plaza.

LIRR accomodated Metrocard holders at Main Street, Woodside, and Penn Station.
