Amtrak Suspends Service Between Boston And New York City

March 13, 2018 - 1:38 pm

NEW YORK (WCBS 880/AP) -- Amtrak has suspended service between Boston and New York City as the third nor'easter in less than two weeks strikes.
Amtrak says train service between the cities is halted for the remainder of Tuesday and will restore most service on Wednesday.

Although New York City was spared the worst of the storm, the weather service issued a blizzard warning for much of the coast of Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts.
Meteorologists have said the nor'easter could bring blizzard conditions and nearly 2 feet of snow to some areas of New England.
The National Weather Service says gusts exceeding 50 mph were recorded off Cape Cod Bay, in Bourne, early Tuesday.
