NEW YORK (WCBS 880) — Disgraced ex-Congressman Anthony Weiner was released from the federal prison he’s been locked up in since 2017.

Weiner was released from the Massachusetts prison earlier than his full 21-month sentencing thanks to good behavior.

Weiner remains in federal custody in New York.

TMZ reports the former Queens congressman is either in a halfway house or confined to his home.

Weiner was convicted for sexting a 15-year-old girl who lives in North Carolina.

Weiner will remain in custody for three months, when he will begin life as a registered sex offender on parole.

Weiner was locked up in a white-collar prison in Massachusetts known for its specialized high-intensity program for sex offenders, designed to prevent repeat offenses.

He was joined in the facility by a consiglieri to the Gambino crime family and Peter Madoff, brother of Bernie Madoff.
