2 Women Wounded By Stray Bullets In Overnight NYC Shootings

NEW YORK (AP) — Police say two women are hospitalized after they were hit by stray bullets in separate shootings in New York City.

The first shooting happened on Guy R. Brewer Boulevard in South Jamaica, Queens at about 10:30 p.m. Friday.

Police say a gunman fired at a group of men and that a bullet hit a 76-year-old woman sitting in a parked car.

The woman was hit in the back of the neck and is in stable condition at a hospital.

The second shooting happened at 12:40 a.m. Saturday in a public housing lobby in East Harlem.

Police say a gunman shot a 29-year-old man in the chest and also shot a 67-year-old female bystander in the leg.

The woman is in stable condition at a hospital. The male victim is in serious condition.

Video above shows a person wanted by police in the first shooting.
