NEW YORK (WCBS 880) – Two women are in police custody after a baby boy was found dead at the Hotel Pennsylvania in Midtown early Saturday morning.

Police say 4-month-old Dominic Greene, of Wilmington, Delaware, was found lifeless at the hotel around 1:10 a.m.

He was rushed to NYU Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

The NYPD says two women, ages 24 and 26, were taken into custody and are being questioned.

One of the women is the boy’s step sister and the other is that woman’s fiancée, according to police.

The NYPD told CBS2 the women were not staying at the hotel but were seen wandering around the lobby and hallways before the boy was found unresponsive by a hotel worker.

The two women appeared to be drunk or on drugs, according to police.

The NYPD said an investigation is ongoing and that the boy appeared to have no obvious signs of trauma.

The medical examiner’s office will determine the infant’s cause of death.
