NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- Benjamin Brafman is reportedly withdrawing from the Harvey Weinstein sexual assault case.

Brafman confirmed the news with the New York Post on Tuesday, a day after the publication reported that the attorney and disgraced movie mogul were butting heads over a number of issues including Weinstein wanting to expand his defense team.

The Post reports Weinstein is looking to add an "older woman" to his defense team.

The 66-year-old is charged with raping a woman in 2013 and performing a forcible sex act on a different woman in 2006. Weinstein denies all allegations of nonconsensual sex.

His trial is set for May.
