Bronx Mosque Shot With BB Gun During Ramadan Prayer

June 02, 2018 - 12:12 pm

NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- Hate rears its ugly head again.

For the second year in a row a Bronx mosque has been targeted during Ramadan.

A pellet gun was fired twice into the mosque on Alexander Ave in Mott Haven.

It happened on Friday May, 25, and again on Monday.

One teen told CBS2 that he was hit with a pellet while praying.

"I just felt something hit me, I mean I didn't know what it was. They started telling me it was a BB gun, and then somebody showed me the pellet," he said.

The NYPD is investigating the shooting as a hate crime.
