NEW YORK (WCBS 880) – Police have arrested a Brooklyn lawyer in three cold-case sex crimes in which he allegedly followed women and sexually assaulted them.

Rashaun Kelley is accused of following women into their apartment buildings and sexually assaulting them back in 2014 and 2015.

The 35-year-old has been charged with burglary, sex abuse and attempted rape.

The crimes were reported between late 2014 and early 2015 in Harlem, the Lower East Side and the East Village.

In one case, a 19-year-old woman was walking into the elevator of her apartment building in the East Village when she was approached by a man who grabbed her rear-end and tried to force her to kiss him, according to the NYPD.

In another case, the NYPD says a 31-year-old woman was heading into her apartment building on the Lower East Side when a man grabbed her by the waist and pulled her pants down.

Kelley was arrested after a years-long investigation by the NYPD’s Special Victims Unit.
