Peeping Perv Prowls New Jersey Town In Birthday Suit

HILLSBOROUGH, N.J. (WCBS 880) -- Residents of one New Jersey neighborhood say they’ve been visited by a naked man in a wig on more than one occasion.

The peeping Tom was captured twice by surveillance cameras – on Sept. 14 and again on Nov. 1 -- in Hillsborough. It is unclear if two other flashing incidents dating back to July are related.

"He's walking around the houses very suspiciously, he does walk past windows and doors and he looks like he may or may not be looking into them," said Detective Hank Olszyk.

Police released a surveillance image of him Monday. It appears to show the man in the buff, donning his black bandana. Earlier reports that the mystery naked man was dabbing, a popular dance move, are not accurate.

"He was simply blocking the light from the flood light out of his eye, he was kind of putting his arm up to block himself from the light," Olszyk said.

One man told CBS 2 the suspect came out of the woods jumped out at somebody who was walking by.

Another homeowner said she saw the peeping Tom in front of her home while her children were inside.

"We're very concerned in this neighborhood, very concerned about the situation that is going on. I've seen a big Hillsborough Police presence in this neighborhood from last night to this morning," resident Laura Fowler said. " I am concerned about the kids in the neighborhood, the adults in the neighborhood, the fact that he's going to people's windows. That's real creepy."

But this nudist’s nights on the town may be short lived, as resident Brian Sauers told CBS 2.

“It’s going to be tough to creep around naked in 40-degree weather,” Sauers said.
