Dog On Tracks Disrupts Subway Service In Queens

NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- A dog wandered onto some train tracks in Queens, disrupting subway service Tuesday afternoon.

A train service was suspended in both directions between Far Rockaway and Broad Channel as police worked to safely remove the dog from the tracks near Beach 36th Street.

Customers can get a courtesy pass from a station agent for service on another train or bus.

This isn't the first time the NYPD has had to corral animals roaming the tracks.

Over the summer, a couple of goats were spotted on the N line tracks near Eighth Avenue in Brooklyn. They were brought to safety and were then rescued by former "The Daily Show" host Jon Stewart who helped get them to an uptate animal sanctuary.
