Dorel Inclined Baby Sleepers Recalled

August 01, 2019 - 5:29 pm

NEW YORK (WCBS 880) — Twenty-four thousand baby sleepers are being recalled after a string of infant deaths and calls for the product to be banned.

The baby sleepers, made by Dorel Juvenile Group, are the Eddie Bauer Slumber and Soothe rocker bassinet and the Disney Baby Doze and Dream bassinet.

Joe Martyak, of the Consumer Product Safety Commission, says “Dorel Juvenile Group USA is recalling their inclined sleepers due to safety concerns about inclined sleep products. There have been infant fatalities that have been reported while using other inclined sleep products after the infants rolled from their back to their stomach, or to the side while unrestrained.”

No death or injuries were reported in the Dorel devices, according to the company.
