February 16, 2019 - 5:17 pm

ENGLEWOOD, N.J. (WCBS 880) -- An elderly couple was found dead in their New Jersey home and the suspect who is in custody is their son, authorities say.

The son, identified as Pawel Boduch, was arrested Saturday and charged with two counts of murder and possession of a weapon.

Police say the bodies of Edward Boduch, 71, and Miroslawa Potocka, 72, were found at their home with multiple stab wounds Saturday morning.

Officers discovered the bodies while doing a wellness check at the house near Lafayette Place and Coriander Way shortly before 11 a.m.

A family member had called police after they were unable to reach the couple for several days, authorities say.

A manhunt was launched for Boduch Saturday and he was located and charged later in the day.
