FDNY: 7-Year-Old Girl Among 2 Killed In Queens House Fire

NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- A house fire in Queens claimed the lives of a woman and young girl Sunday morning, the FDNY says. 

Guadalupe Perez, 7, and Silvia Umana, 51, were identified as the two victims of the fire. 

The blaze broke out at a two-story home on 117th Street, near Atlantic Avenue, in Richmond Hill. It was brought under control by 11:15 a.m.

The FDNY says three of the injured were taken to Jamaica Hospital in critical condition. Perez and Umana succumbed to their injuries, while a 19-year-old remained hospitalized Sunday night.

A 15-year-old boy was taken to Kings County Hospital in stable condition and is expected to survive.

The FDNY Fire Marshal is working to determine the cause of the fire.
