Former AG Schneiderman Begins Collecting Pension

July 06, 2018 - 8:10 pm

NEW YORK (WCBS 880/AP) -- Former New York state Attorney General Eric Schneiderman has started collecting his pension.

He stands to make $64,000 a year.

The state Comptroller’s office said Schneiderman picked up his first monthly check, which was worth $5,329.

Despite his resignation, it is not likely that Schneiderman will have his pension revoked, because he has not been convicted of any crimes and has not even been charged with anything.

Schneiderman stepped down in May, after four women accused him of physically assaulting them in a New Yorker article. Schneiderman has denied the allegations.

In speaking with The New Yorker, one of Schneiderman’s former girlfriends claims he threatened that he could have her followed and even have her phone tapped.
