Game Of Thrones MetroCards Hit Grand Central Station Tuesday

NEW YORK (WCBS 880) – Subway riders can get their hands on limited edition Game of Thrones MetroCards this week.

The MetroCards featuring HBO’s most popular show will be available starting Tuesday at some Grand Central Station vending machines.

They depict iconic moments from the drama's past seven seasons, including the birth of Daenerys Targaryen’s dragons, Cersei’s Walk of Atonement, Jon Snow’s Revival, and the Massacre at Hardhome.

The four cards are available at the larger MetroCard vending machines and booths at these locations: 42nd St & Park Ave, 42nd St & Lexington Ave, 42nd St & 3rd Ave.

There’s only 250,000 of them to go around, and if previous branded MetroCards are any indication, these will sell out quickly. David Bowie MetroCards were released in April and they were eventually selling for more than $100 online.

Fans of the HBO hit series were already scooping the cards up on Tuesday morning.

"Got my set of @gameofthrones @hbo Special Edition Metrocards!" one Instagram user posted.

"Oooooh I want the Daenerys one!" another user responded.

The final season of Game of Thrones will premiere in April 2019.
