NEW YORK (WCBS 880) – Jeffrey Epstein’s alleged fixer Ghislaine Maxwell was reportedly being held at a medium-security New Hampshire jail this weekend as she waits to be extradited back to New York City this week ahead of her trial.

Maxwell was said to be at Merrimack County Jail, which is about 20 miles from the remote, $1 million property in Bradford, where she was arrested by federal authorities Thursday, Reuters reported.

The jail is described as a “state of the art” male and female facility for inmates awaiting arraignment.

Maxwell, 58, faces four counts of sex crimes involving minors and two counts of perjury. According to a federal indictment, Maxwell, who lived for years with Epstein and was his frequent companion on trips around the world, facilitated his crimes and on some occasions joined him in sexually abusing the girls.

She is expected to make a court appearance in Manhattan this week.

The British socialite had reportedly been lying low this past year after Epstein, 66, killed himself in a Manhattan jail last August.

Maxwell could end up at the same jail where Epstein died—the Metropolitan Correctional Center—or she may be transferred to the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn.
