NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- Bring your own bottle for a drink along the Hudson.

Thirteen restaurants and concessions in Hudson River Park, including the Frying Pan Restaurant, have signed voluntary agreements to stop selling plastic water bottles.

They're also ditching plastic straws.

The Wall Street Journal reports that other businesses in the park, which runs from Lower Manhattan to Midtown, are considering the plastics ban.

This comes a month after the state passed a ban on single-use plastic bags and Mayor Bill de Blasio issued an executive order prohibiting city agencies from buying any unnecessary single-use plastics.
