Hundreds Of Trump Supporters In NYC Celebrate End Of Mueller Probe

March 23, 2019 - 7:06 pm

NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- Supporters of President Trump are taking the news that Robert Mueller's investigation is over as a sign of vindication, and they celebrated at a jubilant rally in Midtown Saturday.

American flags flew and supporters cheered across from Trump Tower on Fifth Avenue at a rally that had already been planned before Friday’s big news that the investigation was over.

“The Mueller report – it’s gone and the Democrats are still crying,” one man said.

“We’ve known for two years there was nothing in the report,” said a woman. "It's electrifying. It's exhilarating. It's love. It's glorious, I tell you, glorious," she said of the rally.

Although the contents of Mueller's report still aren’t known and there are ongoing investigations elsewhere, including from the Southern District of New York, hundreds of supporters turned out to show their support for the president, who is in Florida this weekend.

“It’s all hands on deck now. We need everybody doing what little bit you can do. Just do it and let’s keep America great,” one woman said.

There were no counter-protests to the rally and police were keeping any potential conflicts at bay.
