Man Found Dead, With Head Wound Inside BMW In Queens Parking Lot

NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- Police say a man was found dead in the back seat of a BMW with a wound on his head in the parking lot of a Jackson Heights, Queens auto shop on Sunday morning.

The body was discovered at approximately 7 a.m. in the vehicle parked behind an AutoZone on Northern Boulevard near Junction Boulevard officials said.

A worker at the shop discovered the body and called 911, according to a report from the New York Post.

The victim had head trauma and is believed to be in his 20s, but his cause of death was not immediately known.

The city medical examiner will determine how the man died.

The gray car had New Jersey license plates and a flat rear tire when discovered in the AutoZone’s customer parking lot, which has a capacity to hold about ten vehicles.
