NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WCBS 880) -- A Brooklyn man wanted for allegedly cutting off his pregnant wife’s arm was captured in Niagara Falls Saturday night.

Doctors managed to reattach the woman’s arm.

Police said officers found the 35-year-old woman at 55th Street and Fifth Avenue in Sunset Park, Brooklyn at 12:19 p.m. this past Thursday.

The woman had her right arm severed above her elbow, and two fingers cut off from her left hand, police said.

The NYPD later determined that the woman’s husband, Yong Lu, was in Niagara Falls dining at the food court at One Niagara, and they contacted the Falls police, who arrested the 35-year-old.

Buffalo police said on Friday, Lu tried to cross into Canada in a luggage compartment on a bus, but the driver refused.

Both the woman and her baby are expected to survive and are said to be stable.
