NEW YORK (WCBS 880) — Police are searching for a group of men that attempted to lure children into their vehicle by offering them candy in at least two occasions in Brooklyn.

The first incident was reported about 8:30 p.m. on Saturday at the corner of 47th Street and 18th Avenue in Borough Park.

Police say a blue Toyota Rav 4 approached the corner where two boys, ages 10 and 11, were standing, waiting to cross the street.

The men allegedly told the children to come towards the car but the boys ran in the opposite direction.

About 20 minutes later, the same car drove towards a 12-year-old girl and 9-year-old boy on 55th Street.

According to authorities, the men inside the car offered the children candy and asked them to enter the vehicle.

Those children also ran away in the opposite direction.

The NYPD is continuing to investigate the incidents and released photos of the vehicle in an attempt to identity the owner.

No suspects have been apprehended.

Anyone with information in regard to the identity of this male is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
