1 Dead, 20 Injured, In 4-Alarm Blaze In Yonkers

NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- One person died and 20 people were injured, including 16 firefighters after a 4-alarm fire ripped through an apartment building in Yonkers Sunday night.

Officials were called to 112 Saratoga Avenue at approximately 8 p.m. and place the fire under control just before 11 p.m., officials say.

Four civilians were injured, with three of them suffereing from smoke inhalation. Officials say the fourth vicitm jumped out of a window and broke their legs.

All 16 injured firefighters suffered minor injures in the blaze, officials say.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
