4 Officers Treated For Possible Fentanyl Exposure Following Bronx Drug Bust

NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- Four NYPD officials are among several people that are being treated for possible exposure to fentanyl, following a major drug bust the occurred in the Bronx.

According to police, the officers were conducting a search in an apartment building on Willis Avenue Thursday night when they found what they believed to be fentanyl inside an apartment.

The officers were hospitalized as a precaution, with some reporting feeling some of the effects from what they may have been exposed to, police say.

It is unclear if there were any arrests in connection to the incident.
