NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- Families of the victims of the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks still believe Saudi Arabia was involved, and they are pursuing a lawsuit to get answers.

As WCBS 880’s Peter Haskell reported, there has been no definitive link between the 9/11 attacks and the Saudi government. But the plaintiffs are convinced they will find one.

It has been more than 16 years since 9/11, and Brett Eagleson is still fighting for justice.

“It’s the only thing I can do to avenge my father’s death,” Eagleson said.

John Eagleson was 53 when he was killed in the South Tower of the World Trade Center. Brett Eagleson is looking for help.

“We’re not asking our government to support us or even help us. We’re just asking the government to untie our hands,” Brett Eagleson said. “Let us fight the bare fight. Right now, we’ve been unable to fight.”

He is hoping to see classified documents.

“We suspect those documents are going to reveal Saudi complicity,” Brett Eagleson said.

The Saudi government has denied any role in the terror attacks.
