NEW YORK (WCBS 880) — Another de Blasio could be a part of New York's political future.

Insiders tell the New York Daily News that Mayor Bill de Blasio has been urging his wife, Chirlane McCray, to consider a run for Brooklyn Borough President.

Those sources say the mayor is offering support to Eric Adams' mayoral campaign in exchange for the current borough president's endorsement of the city's first lady.

Spokespeople for the mayor and Adams deny a rumored meeting last month ever took place between the two.

If McCray were to get the job that would keep her husband, who launched a failed presidential bid this year, in New York's political circle after his term as mayor comes to an end.
