Female Security Guard Killed Inside Rockland County Library

SPRING VALLEY, N.Y. (WCBS 880) — A woman was stabbed to death inside a library Tuesday afternoon in Rockland County.

CBS2 reports the victim was a security guard sitting at the front desk inside the Spring Valley building.

According to the report, she was stabbed repeatedly by a man who had just walked into the library sometime before 5 p.m.

Police flooded the Finklestein Memorial Library and were able to arrest the suspect.

It remains unclear why the man attacked.

The security guard’s identity was not immediately released.

The investigation remains ongoing.
