NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- A lost pup who ended up on the FDR Drive on Monday night was reunited with his owner after a good Samaritan rescued him.

NYPD Sgt. Carlos Nieves posted a photo of the dog, a 4-year-old Shiba Inu named Daiki, on Twitter, saying that traffic had stopped by the Manhattan Bridge as a bystander tried to capture the lost dog.

The man ended up catching him and later told Nieves, "I'm afraid of dogs."

Daiki was reunited with his family a few hours later.
