NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- Dozens of topless men and women marched in Midtown Manhattan on Sunday in an eye-catching protest to bring about gender equality.

Both women and men of all shapes and sizes -- wearing nothing at all on top -- bared their chests walking from Columbus Circle to Bryant Park, WCBS 880's Mike Smeltz reported.

"We have seen parades in many countries," said Nancy Sparks who was among the topless parade attendees. "They're always inyteresting. This might be the most interesting."

"Those are things like telling women what they can wear and how they can wear it and when and that's a problem because I mean, dudes get to wear their shirts free regardless of their weights," said another parade attendee.

One thing you'll consistently notice is a complete look of shock on many faces watching the flock of bare chested marchers go by, Smeltz reported.
