NEW YORK (WCBS 880) — Here's your chance to send some love to U.S. service members overseas and we have our sister station NY Country 94.7 to thank for it.

It's called Valentines For The Troops.

The team at 94.7, led by our friend Kelly Ford, are asking people across the Tri-State area to send Valentine's Day cards to our troops.

"It's really all about the message because you're away from home on a holiday that's all about love and you need to know that people back here love ya," Ford tells Wayne Cabot and Paul Murnane. "It's about saying, 'Hey, we love and appreciate you.'"

Country superstar Jason Aldean helped kick off the campaign and wrote the first card.

Let’s show the love to our troops this #ValentinesDay! It’s the #kellyfordinthemorning Valentines for the Troops! Thanks to @jasonaldean for making our first card. We need you!!! Get all the info at newyorkscountry947.com. #947loveourtroops ❤️----❤️----
