NYPD Searches For Gunman After Fatal Shooting In Broad Daylight

NEW YORK (WCBS 880) — The NYPD is searching for a gunman after a deadly shooting in Hamilton Heights Thursday afternoon.

The incident happened around 2 p.m. on 135th Street and Riverside Drive.

Police say the three victims were shot by an unknown man who fled the scene.

The victims were rushed to Columbia Presbyterian Hospital and St. Luke’s Hospital.

One victim, a 27-year-old was shot multiple times in the torso and leg and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Two other victims, a 26-year-old and 27-year-old, are said to be in stable condition.

It remains unclear what led to the shooting in broad daylight in the middle of Manhattan. The investigation is ongoing.

The block was cordoned off as investigators searched for evidence. A puddle of blood and a shoe were was all that remained at the scene.
