Park Photos, Videos Sought In Search For Dulce Maria Alavez

Handout
BRIDGETON, N.J. (WCBS 880/AP) — Authorities searching for a 5-year-old girl believed to have been kidnapped from a southern New Jersey park last week are asking anyone who visited the site that day to share photos or videos they took in the area.
Dulce Maria Alavez disappeared Sept. 16 from a playground at Bridgeton City Park. She was playing with her 3-year-old brother while their mother sat in her car with an 8-year-old relative.
The mother told police her son soon ran back to the car crying and pointed to the area where he last saw his sister. They looked but could not locate her.
An Amber Alert was issued the following day. Authorities believe the girl was taken by a man who led her to a red van.
Alavez is about 3-feet tall, weighing 60 to 70 pounds and has brown eyes and brown hair. She was last seen wearing a yellow shirt with a koala bear on the front, black and white pants, and white shoes.

Authorities believe she left the park with a light-skinned Hispanic male, 5'6" to 5'8" tall with a thin build. He has acne but no facial hair. The suspect was last seen wearing orange sneakers, red pants and a black shirt.
Police have been using helicopters and dogs in the search. The reward for information in the case has also grown to $35,000.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the FBI tip line at 1-800-CALL-FBI, New Jersey State Police Missing Persons Unit at (609) 882-2000 ext. 2857, Bridgeton Police Department at (856) 451-0033 or CALL 911 immediately.
