NEW YORK (WCBS 880) — If your travels take you to Western New York, don't plan on hitting the Hut: All Pizza Hut locations in Western New York, including Niagara Falls and the Buffalo area, have been permanently closed.

The restaurants had been shuttered temporarily when the pandemic struck, but now the franchisee has decided to close the locations permanently.

"As a result of 17 Pizza Hut dine-in restaurants in Western New York initially closing temporarily due to COVID-19 restrictions, the local franchisee made the decision to permanently close these stores," Pizza Hut said in a statement. "However, Pizza Hut has new franchisees coming into the New York region, and we are hopeful we will be able to serve our customers in this area again in the future.

There are 17 locations in Western New York.
