Police: 10-Year-Old Boy, 4 Others Shot In Bronx; Hunt For Gunman Ongoing

NEW YORK (WCBS 880) — Police are hunting for a gunman after five people, including a 10-year-old boy, were shot in the Bronx Wednesday afternoon.

The shooting happening just at 4 p.m. on East 153rd Street and Courtlandt Avenue in the Melrose section of the borough.

It remains unclear what circumstances lead to the shooting. It does not appear any injuries are life threatening.

Victims also include a 15-year-old boy, 19-year-old woman, 20-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman.

All individuals, including the 10-year-old, were rushed to a nearby hospital in stable condition.

Authorities canvassed the area for the suspect, but ultimately no arrests were made Wednesday night.
