Police Presence To Increase After 32 Vehicles Vandalized In Bay Ridge

NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- Police announced that there will be plans to increase patrols in the Bay Ridge area of Brooklyn after 32 vehicles were vandalized on Sunday.

Some of the vehicles had their tires slashed and the sides keyed.

Some residents say the first incidents occurred about a month ago near a park parking lot near 93rd Street. 

Police put up an temporary light and cars near 87th and also 72nd Street were vandalized,, according to residents in the area.

Police also announced that a temporary light will be installed near 72nd Street.
