NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- Cyber Monday has once again held on to its title of being the biggest day of the year for online shopping.

Bargain shoppers spent $9.2 billion dollars in just one day.

That's one-fifth increase in revenue over 2018's Cyber Monday.

Cyber Monday was created in 2005 in order to lure people into shopping online once they returned to work the Monday after Thanksgiving since at the time, few homes had high-speed internet service.
