NEW YORK (WCBS 880) — Mike Sugerman hit the links for this week's Sweet Spot for a unique golf experience in Queens.

The company Stadiumlinks took over Citi Field and turned it into a golf course of sorts.

You swing from the top deck onto the greens set up on the field.

"If you get it on the field, it's a bogey, if you get on the green you're green it's a par, if you get in that small circle that's a birdie, and there's actually a hole so technically you can make a hole in one," Stadiumlinks marshal Mark Boswell said. "You know I've always fantasized about hitting golf balls from home plate."

And this is about as close as one can get to achieving that dream, since the only ones allowed on the field are the ground crew who clear the balls away.

Stadiumlinks has done this at several ball parks across the country.

It's about $100 per person for nine holes.

Tee times started at 7 a.m. and ended at 10 p.m. for three days — and people kept coming.

"It's the closest I'll ever come to hitting a home run at a major league park," one man said.

If you missed your chance, Stadiumlinks will return next off season.
