NEW YORK (WCBS 880) — A woman died Thursday morning, after a piece of plywood was blown off a building in queens and hit her.

Strong winds blew the three-foot-by-three-foot piece of wood onto Main Street in Flushing.

The victim has been identified as 67-year-old Xiang Ji.

The construction site was issued a stop work order in August, after a crew was caught working in the middle of the night without a permit.

The death sparks some fears, coming just weeks after another woman was killed in Midtown when a piece of building façade suddenly dislodged and struck her in the head.
