NEW YORK (WCBS 880) — The New York Mets have reportedly lost Zack Wheeler.

The free agent right-hander has reached a deal with the Philadelphia Phillies, Marc Carig of The Athletic first reported.

Sources tell ESPN it's a 5-year deal worth more than $100 million.

Earlier Wednesday, Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo was asked about the potential of losing his teammate to a division rival.

"He's a great pitcher, but guess what, I mean, this whole division is stacked with great pitchers," Nimmo said. "It's going to be tough day in and day out, that's just the way it is, so our offense is just going to need to be up for the challenge."

The 29-year-old pitcher went 11-8 with a 3.96 ERA in 31 starts for the Mets.
