Multiple Suspects Sought In Brooklyn Murder Found Eerily Similar To ‘Junior’ Case

NEW YORK (WCBS 880) — The NYPD released video Thursday of a group of 10 suspects wanted in a gang murder in Brooklyn.

According to NYPD Chief of Detectives Dermot Shea, the murder of 21-year-old Tyquan Eversley is eerily similar to that of 15-year-old Lesandro "Junior" Guzman-Feliz.

“You are literally going to see a 21-year-old now fighting for his life, running through the streets of Brooklyn being chased by a group of at least 10 thugs,” Shea told reporters.

Police say the March 19 incident was unprovoked and it’s still unclear as to why Eversley was targeted.

Video of the event shows him running through the streets, trying to evade his attackers. He is seen trying to enter a private residence before being chased into a private backyard, where he jumped over a fence.

“And, unbeknownst to our victim, on the other side of that PVC fence, is a chained fence with barbed wire on top,” said Police Chief Michael Kemper.

Eversley became stuck in the barbed wire, where one attacker threw a large rock at him and another shot him multiple times.

Police currently have one person in custody. Nine others, including the shooter, are at large.

Officials believed the attackers have gang affiliations. Photos of the suspects have been released.

Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
