NYPD Seeking Public’s Help To Find Missing British Tourist

NEW YORK (WCBS 880) — The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s help to find a British tourist who was reported missing in Times Square.

John Tench, 67, from North Umberland, England, was visiting Times Square when was walked away from his family on Broadway near W. 47th street around 10:15 p.m, according to police.

As WCBS 880's Mike Sugerman reports, Tench suffers from Alzheimer's disease.

Tench is approximately 5'9” tall, weighs 180 lbs. and is of medium build with salt and pepper hair and a similarly colored mustache.

Tench was last seen wearing a black hat, a black hooded toggle jacket, blue jeans and brown boots.

His relatives called police after they failed to locate Tench and he didn’t come back to their hotel, the Hilton Garden Inn on 8th Avenue.
