NYPD Seeks Suspects In 3 Separate Robberies Of Same Pizzeria

NEW YORK (WCBS 880/AP) -- Police are searching for a man and a woman who they said robbed the same New York City pizzeria three times, making off with close to $30,000.

Vapiano Restaurant in lower Manhattan was hit for the first time Feb. 11 when the suspects broke in and removed a safe containing around $12,000, police said.

The eatery was burglarized a second time on April 30 around 2 a.m. when the suspects removed $7,040 from three register boxes before fleeing.

The NYPD says the suspects forced open the restaurant's front door around 3 a.m. May 29, prying open a safe and grabbing about $10,000 in cash.
