NEW YORK (WCBS 880) – A Long Island man who was under investigation by a terrorism task force was busted with more than a dozen guns at his home, police said.

John Dejana, 47, was arrested Thursday in Port Washington and charged with first-degree criminal possession of a weapon at an arraignment Friday.

Dejana was under investigation by the FBI Long Island Joint Terrorism Task Force before his arrest, according to Nassau County police. It’s not known what sparked the investigation.

Eleven of the guns were so-called “ghost” guns because they could not be identified and had no serial numbers.

Authorities also seized five assault rifles, 12 ammunition magazines containing 3,000 rounds of ammo and four kits to build ghost guns.

Police say they also found marijuana and anabolic steroids on the property.
