Police Find 72-Year-Old Man That Jumped To His Death, Wife Dead With Stab Wounds

NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- Police responded to the 911 call of a male jumper just after 10:00 p.m. on Sunday in Inwood, Manhattan.

Officials arrived in front of 210 Sherman Avenue where they 72-year-old Campo Elias Albuja-Montalvo was discovered lying on the pavement, unconscious and unresponsive with injuries consistent from a fall.

Police then gained entry to the apartment where the man was believed to have exited from, and found his 78-year-old wife Francia Walsh inside, on a sofa within the living room area, with multiple stab wounds to her torso.

EMS at the location pronounced both individuals deceased at the scene.

There was a knife recovered at the scene.

The investigation remains ongoing.
