NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- A suspected gunman who was involved in some sort of argument with another man was shot by police in the Bronx.

Officers responded to the scene after hearing gunshots Wednesday night at White Plains Road and East 241st Street.

When officers told the suspect to drop the gun, instead, they say, he pointed the gun at the officers -- and one of them opened fire hitting him in the torso.
