How Stars Are Celebrating July 4th This Holiday Weekend

July 06, 2019 - 8:12 am

1. Courteney Cox

Celebrating Independence Day with former co-star Jennifer Aniston, Big Little Lies star Laura Dern, jewelry designer Jennifer Meyer, and the legendary Suzanne Somers, the Friends-famous Cox took the meaning of Stars and Stripes to a whole new level with this star-studded selfie.

2. Alex Rodriguez

A-Rod knocked it out the park with a touching family photo featuring his wife Jennifer Lopez and their four children. He captioned the Instagram post, “Today, we all celebrate the amazing freedoms we have as Americans. From our family to yours, have a happy and safe #July4th holiday everyone! ----”

3. Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson

For most people, nothing could be scarier than The Rock chasing you around like a great white shark. Especially on a belly full of hot dogs. But for his daughter Jazzy, July 4th is a chance to play a favorite game -- getting hunted around the pool while her dad dun dun, dun duns the Jaws theme song.

4. Justin Timberlake & Jessica Biel

The Sinner actress captioned her photo with husband Justin Timberlake and son Silas, “Think we have enough flags?? Happy 4th!! ------” You can never have enough flags on July 4th, but that fanny pack is a great touch.

5. Julia Louis-Dreyfus

Sure, we’ve all seen Elaine turn sour many times. But the former Seinfeld and Veep star is a glass half full type these days, showing off her basket with the caption, “When life gives you lemons. Happy 4th. ----”

6. Lil Nas X

This year, Lil Nas X gave “The Star-Spangled Banner” a run for its money with his certified diamond, crossover hit “Old Town Road.” The rapper has been on a meteoric rise all year, just recently rocking out with Miley Cyrus and even getting a shoutout from presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg. It’s hard to think of a celeb more excited for the Fourth of July than Lil Nas X on his toy pony, draped in an American flag shirt.

7. Gwen Stefani

She hasn’t mustered up the courage to propose quite yet, but the former No Doubt singer posted a sweet tribute to longtime boyfriend and The Voice co-star Blake Shelton with the caption “Happy 4th of July muffins ❤️---------------------- Gx #vegasbound.” Sorry, Blake. It’s no ring, but it’s something.

8. Chrissy Teigen & John Legend

Some people like to have a cookout on the Fourth of July. Others, like Chrissy Teigen and John Legend, like to take a little vacation to the Italian coast. The two spent their Independence Day with their two children in the northwestern village of Portovenere.

You know something profound has happened if Amy Schumer is beyond words. The superstar comedian celebrated her first Fourth of July as a mother this weekend, posting a blissful sun-washed picture of her with her son, and a laconic caption: simply “--”

10. Mark Ruffalo

We’re not exactly sure what Mark Ruffalo did on the Fourth of July. All we know is that, first thing in the morning, Ruffalo needed to post a meme commemorating one of our most cherished national treasures: the rear belonging to his Avengers co-star Chris Evans’s Captain America.
