Puppy Love: Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes Adopt a New Family Member
Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling’s household just got even more adorable.
The longtime couple are new parents after adopting a Doberman puppy named Lucho, according to People.
“Meet Lucho. The newest member of our family,” Mendes captioned a photo of herself with her arms around the four-legged friend. “We adopted him from this amazing agency called Friends for Life Rescue Network.”
The Hitch star encouraged her followers to adopt pets from rescue organizations or donate to them if they aren’t in a position to have a pet of their own.
Born at the rescue in November 2018, Lucho was previously known as Apollo and couldn’t walk until he was six weeks old.
The actors adopted him in March after the pooch was fixed, vaccinated and microchipped.
Lucho is the latest member of the A-list couple’s household as he will join the couple’s two daughters, four-year-old Esmeralda and three-year-old Amada.
Mendes and Gosling met in 2011 while filming The Place Beyond the Pines together and have maintained a very low profile ever since.
Earlier this year, the 45-year-old actress gave a rare interview where she revealed she never planned to be a mother until she met Gosling.
"It was the furthest thing from my mind," Mendes told Women's Health. "Ryan Gosling happened. I mean, falling in love with him. Then it made sense for me to have...not kids, but his kids. It was very specific to him."
Now they are one big and gorgeous family!
