Some Johnsonville Pork Patties Recalled Over Possible Black Rubber Contamination

NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- A recall has been issued for more than 48,000 pounds of Johnsonville raw ground pork patty products.

There are concerns the pork may contaminated with pieces of black rubber, according to a release by the United States Department of Agriculture.

The cheddar cheese and bacon flavor Johnsonville Grillers were produced and packaged last year on Sept. 27, Oct. 17 and Oct. 18.

The USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service is concerned that some of these products may be in consumers’ freezers.

If you find one of these products in your freezer, either throw it out or return it to the place of purchase.

There have been no reports of injuries.
