Reputed Gang Member Charged In Connection With Shooting Of FBI Agent In Brooklyn

NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- The feds have made an arrest in the weekend shooting of an FBI agent in Canarsie, Brooklyn.

Ronell Watson was charged with attempted murder and is being held without bail.

The agent was on duty conducting surveillance at 93rd Street and Avenue N in Canarsie around 3:30 p.m. Saturday when he was shot in the torso.

The agent managed to shoot Watson, a reputed gang member, in the hand.

The FBI also charnged a woman who lives with Watson. She's accused of making false statements about the shooting.

The agent was taken to the hospital in stable condition and will be OK.
